Also known as Kaashmir, Andrea is a professional Belly Dance instructor who has studied and performed Belly Dance throughout the southeastern United States for more than 25 years. She has been a Belly dance teacher at Georgia State University for over twenty-years past and is popularly known for her graceful hands and flying hips.
She contributes the development of her style from her studies under such Belly Dance greats as Layla Katrina, Zhaleh Fereshteh, and Morocco to name a few.
A fan of the traditional Cabaret, or Danse Oriental style of Belly Dance, Kaashmir also enjoys the of American Tribal Style belly dance and continues her studies all over the United States.
Kaashmir is also founder of the troupe ‘Daughters of the Nile’ and performs at local are civic, social events and festivals as well as schools and senior centers. Also, she founded the troupe to provide performance opportunities for her students and enlighten audiences to the joy of the traditional dances of North Africa and the Middle East.
